That's why I usually play my sims according to the personality I invent for them and select traits based on my gameplay needs. "Slob" could be translated as "Gameplay perk that makes hygiene drop slower". One more example of traits working more like permanent buffs/debuffs. Now we have the weird situation that slob sims actually have an easier time to stay clean than their fellows: because of their more slowly depleting hygiene bar they hit the "apply grunge" threshold LATER. That way they reach the "critical mass" later than other sims, which gives the impression of them caring less about their hygiene without killing a gameplay element (taking care of all needs).Īnd that worked fine until the Get filthy patch that displays visible dirt on unclean sims came along (A feature that I love, b.t.w.). I think the developers thought along those lines: Slobs shower less often than others, so we represent this by having their hygiene bar deplete slower. Neat Sim trick, wash hands or brush teeth and poof no more pungeant pits Take your Sim to the gym and have it do a good workout session.
